Choosing a home moving company in Dubai
Most complaints about movers in this city come down to three things: a price that changed on the day, furniture that arrived scratched, and a crew that left as soon as the boxes were through the door. We built the way we work around avoiding all three.
The price is fixed before the truck is booked, based on what you've told us and what we've seen in your photos or at the survey. Furniture is wrapped and blanketed rather than carried bare through a stairwell. And the job isn't finished until the beds are built, the wardrobes are standing, the curtains are back up and the packing waste has gone with us.
What changes the price of a home move
Four things, in roughly this order of impact:

Home moving questions
The things people ask us most before booking a house or apartment move.
What does a moving company in Dubai actually charge for a two-bedroom apartment?
There's no single figure, because the two things that move the price most are access and volume. A second-floor flat with a service lift and a loading bay is a different job from a third-floor walk-up in an older building, even with identical furniture. Send us the address, the floor, whether there's a lift, and a photo of each room, and you'll get a fixed number back rather than a range.
How many people and how long for a villa move?
A three to four bedroom villa is usually a full day with a larger crew, sometimes split over two days if there's a lot of packing. We'd rather put more people on it and finish inside the day than send a small team and have you living out of boxes for a week. The crew size is on your quotation before you book.
Can you pack everything, or only some rooms?
Either. Some people want the whole house packed. Others pack their own clothes and books and leave us the kitchen, the glassware and the artwork, which is where most damage happens. Tell us which rooms you want covered and the price adjusts.
What happens to my washing machine and fridge?
White goods get disconnected, drained where needed, wrapped and transported upright. At the new address they go into position and get reconnected. If a plumber-level connection is involved, tell us in advance so the right person is on the crew.
Do you move plants, mirrors and TVs?
Yes. Large mirrors and glass tabletops get corner protection and a rigid outer wrap. TVs travel upright, ideally in the original box if you kept it, and we bring a purpose-made carton if you didn't. Plants travel last on and first off so they spend the least time in the truck.
Can I move on the same day I get my new keys?
That's the most common request we get and usually the cheapest way to do it, because nothing needs storing. It depends on your handover time. If keys come at 2pm we start packing in the morning and load so the truck is ready to leave the moment you confirm access.
What if my new place isn't ready?
Then we collect and store. Your belongings sit in storage and get delivered when you have the keys. It's priced as three pieces: the collection, the weeks or months of storage, and the delivery. You only pay for the storage period you actually use.
Do you clear away the boxes afterwards?
Yes. Once the boxes are unpacked we flatten them and take the packing waste with us, so you're not left with a mountain of cardboard in the living room. Tell us if you'd rather keep some boxes.
